Royal Beef Stroganoff


Place flour in a bowl. Toss beef strips in flour until coated on all sides.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute streak strips in the hot oil until browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Add sour cream, mushrooms, tomato paste, salt, and pepper; stir to combine. Add some water if mixture is too thick.
Cover and simmer over low heat until meat is cooked through and soft, 20 to 25 minutes.


2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 pound sirloin steak, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into thin strips across the grain

5 mushrooms

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons sour cream

1 tablespoon tomato paste

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon water, or as needed (optional)
