Russian Gastro Week finished in South Korea
April 20, 2018, Russian Export Center (REC) conducted the first of this year's Russian Gastro Weeks. The tasting session was held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

The Russian Gastro Week was attended by 20 Russian suppliers of food products. In addition to the traditional "Russian Gastro Week products, the visitors were offered sturgeon caviar, pickles, marinades, jams and “space food” in tubes.

"For us, APR market plays a fundamentally important role, and countries with the high level of consumption and a developed market such as South Korea are of particular interest to us. Our gastronomic events allow to gather the Russian manufacturers of food products and those foreign companies who are really interested in cooperation with our exporters in one place. Thus, we promote a comprehensive dialogue,” commented Andrey Arkhipov, Director of international REC projects.

He stressed that Russian products aroused great interest from the South Korean party. The Russian Gastro Week held in Seoul demonstrated the high potential for the South Korean market of such products as confectionery, wine and table water.

The event was attended by such companies as A-Trade, Iceberry Trading House, Russian Caviar House, Petrovskiye Nivy, Damgo, Kolomna Bakery and Confectionery Complex, Slavyanka, Belevskaja Confectionery Company and others.

Background:
Offsite events of the Russian Gastro Week represent a unique format that includes presentation of Russian manufacturers of food products, b2b contacts exchange and tasting. Earlier, REC held the tasting sessions in a number of cities in China, Vietnam, India, Iran, U.A.E., etc.
